Mt. Williamson and the Southern Sierra Panorama Print
from $60.00
Limit 10 per order

About the Photograph

Some shots require you to go the extra mile. In this case I had to go the extra fifty. It wasn’t until I’d finished my four day backpacking trip of the Kings Canyon, gotten in the car and headed home that I was rewarded with the best view of the trip.

As I drove down from Onion Valley trailhead the Southern Sierra was aglow in the light of the setting sun. Mt. Williamson, one of California’s fourteen 14,000 ft peaks dominates the scene as it catches the day’s last light.

Tree of Life Print

About the Photograph

Sierra Junipers stand amongst the heavens when it comes to the great trees. They aren’t the most massive, but for what they lack in size they more than make up for in character and beauty. Twisting, gnarled and usually anchored right into the granite mountainsides of the western Sierra at or just below the tree-line these trees create homes for themselves in the most inhospitable of places.

Given their harsh environment, lack of proper soil to ground, and a dense blanket of snow for half their lives these trees grow slowly and sturdily. Some of them are thousands of years old and often no more than 20 or 30 feet high. Somewhere along the Pacific Crest Trail in Desolation Wilderness there are a few giant Junipers that I visit every year. This print is of those trees. To sit under beings so ancient and resilient imbues a sense of wonder and comforting safety. I hope your print can do the same for you wherever you may choose hang it.

Windmills XP Print
from $60.00
Limit 10 per order

About the Photograph

Once upon a time there was an ancient operating system that many grandparents and great grandparents will remember as Windows XP. Besides being one of the greats, Windows XP had an iconic background with rolling a rolling green hill under a sparsely clouded sky called ‘Bliss.’

This print is an homage to that iconic photograph and was captured not too far away from where the original was taken.
